PROGRAM DESCRIPTIONS

The following programs offered by the Mental Health Association in Tompkins County are free and open to adults ages 18 and older. Unless otherwise noted, in-person programs are held at our office, located at 511 W. Seneca St., Ithaca, NY 14850. Senior Support Group - A supportive space for adults 55+ to connect, share life experiences, and build friendships. Join us as we navigate aging together in a welcoming, supportive environment. This group is virtual. Contact Diane Olden at dolden@mhaedu.org for zoom link or more information.

Mutual Aid Group - A welcoming, confidential space to connect with others, share experiences, and give and receive support through check-ins and open conversation. Body Doubling Group - Start your week with purpose and momentum. Body Doubling is a simple productivity technique where you work on your own tasks while others work alongside you. While everyone focuses on their own work, the shared environment can make it easier to get started, stay focused, and follow through on your goals. This group is virtual. Crochet and Connect - Whether you're picking up a crochet hook for the first time or have years of experience, you're welcome here. Social Drop-In - A stigma-free, welcoming space for individuals who have experienced or are currently living with mental health challenges. Whether you're looking to connect with others, enjoy an activity, learn new wellness tools, get help navigating community resources, or simply spend time in a supportive environment, you're welcome here. Smart Recovery - SMART Recovery is a free, science-based support group for individuals seeking recovery from addictive behaviors. Together, participants explore practical tools for building motivation, managing cravings, coping with challenges, and creating lasting positive change in a supportive and nonjudgmental environment. Board Games - Board Game Group offers a relaxed, welcoming opportunity to unwind, build connections, and enjoy a variety of games with others.
