Outreach Center
MHA’s Outreach Center first opened it’s doors in September 2022 with the goal of increasing our community’s capacity to support its members with mental health challenges. The Center provides space for a number of programs and services including: social activities and events, social drop-in hours, walk-in peer counseling for non-crisis situations and community education and training. It is also available to the general public for meetings, trainings and gatherings.
At the Center we work to:
Collaborate with community partners to improve access and coordination of services
Increase mental health literacy and support skills
Strengthen informal networks of support that are critical for recovery
The Center is easily accessible and located centrally on the Ithaca Commons.

Community Space
The Center is available for use by community groups, organizations, government bodies, and businesses for daytime, evening and weekend use for meetings or educational programs.

Social Drop-In Services
Our Drop-In program housed in the Center, provides an opportunity to build connections with peers on a similar journey. Guests are welcome to engage in socialization activities or relax in a positive mental health environment.

Classroom Space
We offer an array of educational opportunities to increase understanding of mental health, increase knowledge of effective interventions, reduce stigma, and strengthen pathways to care.

We welcome those of all sexual orientations, genders, religious (or non) backgrounds, immigration status, cultural identities, intersections and nations of origin.
The Outreach Center is a communal space. To ensure everyone's emotional and physical safety we have a zero tolerance policy for harassment of any kind, sexual advances, bullying, and possession of alcohol, illicit substances, or firearms on property.
