Mike Lew Three Day Event
The Mental Health Association in Tompkins County, the Advocacy Center of Tompkins County and THRIVE (The Healing Resource Institute for Victim Empowerment) are excited to welcome Mike Lew, M.Ed., a renowned psychotherapist, author, and expert on healing from childhood sexual abuse. As the Co-Director of The Next Step Counseling and Training Center, Mike has decades of experience working with survivors, especially male survivors, helping them navigate the complexities of trauma recovery. His background in Psychological Anthropology and his early work with pioneers like Margaret Mead and Colin Turnbull, informs his holistic approach to healing, which integrates both individual and group therapy.
Mike is the author of the groundbreaking book, Victims No Longer, the first written specifically for men recovering from sexual child abuse. He has worked with thousands of survivors and professionals worldwide and has consulted with organizations such as the United Nations and National Institute of Mental Health. Mike’s work continues to inspire and support those on their healing journeys, and we are honored to have him share his expertise with our community.
